Just a Quick Note About Myself & My Boat
I was born and raised in Seward. I used to fish on the docks when I was a boy and watch charters come in with their fish . After a while the captains started asking me to clean their boats and fish . Then I received my first chance to deckhand in 1989 Since that time there has only been 2 seasons that I have not fished.
I tried sight seeing then ocean surveying . Both did not hold the passion I have for fishing . I earned my Captain papers In 1997 and have worked on the ocean ever since . I love the water and enjoy the hunt for all the fish Seward has to offer . I believe if you fish hard you will find them . If you enjoy wildlife we almost always see some of the many marine animals . So come on lets go fishing .
The boat
is a 27 ft Sea sport with twin 200hp 4 stroke outboards with a 8 ft beam .
My electronics are state of the art Furuno with 2- I-com VHF marine radios
a heated cabin with a full marine head . The range is 250 miles and I don't
usually travel more than 60 or 70 miles one way . The vessel speed is 26 to
28 knots , but the weather is what really decides the speed and distance we
will travel .
